Why Rainbow?   In Genesis 1: 27 & 31 we read: “…God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”  “And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.”  The original meaning of the word IMAGE was SPECTRUM.  We can always see the SEVEN colors of a spectrum in a RAINBOW.   In Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (page 465) we find the following definition of GOD:   “God is …Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, Love.”  Mrs. Eddy also says (page 250) “Man is not God, but like a ray of light which comes from the sun, man, the outcome of God, reflects God.”  A RAY OF LIGHT shining through a PRISM shows seven colors:  red   Mind  orange  Spirit  yellow  Soul  green  Principle  blue   Life  indigo  Truth  violet  Love
